Mi padre se divorció de mi madre cuándo yo tenía 5 años, él decidió quedarse en la ciudad de Caracas y mi mamá y yo nos vinimos a la ciudad de Cumaná. Desde ese momento nuestra relación se deterioró muchísimo, nos veíamos quizá una vez al año o a veces pasaban mucho más tiempo. Nunca tuve ese calor de padre que necesite de él, solo eran llamadas escasas y visitas de médico, como dicen coloquialmente.

Cuando cumplí 14 años mi papá me regaló una guitarra acústica y cuando me gradué de bachiller, un año después me regaló un teclado eléctrico. Me di cuenta de que me parecía muchísimo a mi padre, y con cada encuentro la pasábamos demasiado bien, siempre pasaba su cumpleaños en Caracas, pero este año le pedí que se viniera a Cumaná para que no estuviera solo. Mi sorpresa fue que me dijo un día antes de la fecha que ya venía camino a Cumaná.

El día domingo le dije a unos amigos para ir a cenar para despedirlo, la pasamos increíble, mi papá se fue muy contento, bailamos, reímos, comimos y tomamos. My father divorced my mother when I was 5 years old, he decided to stay in the city of Caracas and my mother and I came to the city of Cumaná. From that moment on our relationship deteriorated a lot, we saw each other maybe once a year or sometimes much longer. I never had that fatherly warmth that I needed from him, it was just a few phone calls and doctor's visits, as they say colloquially.

When I turned 14 my dad gave me an acoustic guitar and when I graduated from high school, a year later he gave me an electric keyboard. I realized that I was very much like my father, and every time we met we had a great time, he always spent his birthday in Caracas, but this year I asked him to come to Cumana so he wouldn't be alone. We told some friends to go to a place to have a few beers and wait, we had a great time and we even extended until 4 in the morning, it was a very nice pre-birthday.

On Sunday I told some friends to go to dinner to see him off, we had an incredible time, my dad left very happy, we danced, laughed, ate and drank.
