En la publicación anterior, les comenté sobre la posibilidad de participar en un evento que se realizará en el Hospital de Carúpano: una competencia de 10 km a beneficio de la salud renal.

In the previous post, I told you about the possibility of participating in an event to be held at the Hospital de Carúpano: a 10 km competition for the benefit of renal health.

Ayer, varios runners nos reunimos durante la mañana y sugerimos realizar el reconocimiento de la ruta de la competencia. Establecimos un punto de concentración en el estacionamiento del hospital de Carúpano a las 5:30 pm. A partir de allí, hicimos un calentamiento, tomamos varias fotos y comenzamos el recorrido.

Yesterday, several runners got together in the morning and we suggested to do a reconnaissance of the route of the competition. We established a meeting point in the parking lot of the hospital in Carúpano at 5:30 pm. From there, we did a warm-up, took several photos and started the route.

La trayectoria es muy bonita, atraviesa parte de la ciudad de Carúpano estado Sucre y pasa por el centro. Los primeros 5 km son prácticamente en bajada, mientras que los últimos 5 km son en subida, aunque es una cuesta leve.

Este recorrido de reconocimiento de la ruta lo hicimos en zona 2, correspondiendo a un ritmo de 5:50 a 6:10 por kilómetro. Al llegar nuevamente al punto de salida, conversamos sobre la experiencia, donde algunos compañeros mencionaron que los últimos 4 km fueron un poco desafiantes debido a las cuestas, pero a pesar de la ruta queremos participar en este evento tan importante y así motivar a más personas a unirse al mundo del running.

This route reconnaissance tour was done in zone 2, corresponding to a pace of 5:50 to 6:10 per kilometer. When we arrived back at the starting point, we talked about the experience, where some colleagues mentioned that the last 4 km were a little challenging because of the slopes, but despite the route we want to participate in this important event and thus motivate more people to join the world of running.
