Hello everyone in Black and White community. I hope all of you are doing fine. Its been a while since my last post here in Black and White community. Today I will share another black and white series of portraiture that was taken during my training days in photography. Vanessa is our model for today. She is a stewardess working at Air Asia company. But during this time she was running her own business. She is a very happy go lucky person. I like her face expression when she smile. She can do a lot of face expression but I choose more of her smiling face for this post today. Some of her photos with a serious face. During this photoshoot session I did not plan on meeting her. I met her during an outing with a fellow photographer in our town. The outdoor photoshoot is always a challenge to me. As you can see the exif data from the photo, I am still struggling on the camera settings. Luckily I had some great shoot with her during this outdoor photoshoot session. The photos that was taken inside the building was around 2pm until 3pm . The outdoor sun was still very strong and its really hard to take photo during the harsh lightings. After the sun had set a bit we go outside and take some photos near a wall. During this time the sun was behind the building and we had a nice shade with a good lightings. After I took some photos on the area, we go to a concrete stairs nearby the basement parking lot. I took some photos of her on the stairs below while I stand on the edge of the stairs above her. I tried to take as much photo as I could but the wind keeps blowing the dust from above and it keeps on getting into Vanessa's eye. In the end I had only some good photo without the eyes closed. The last area that we go was the cement plains around the buildings. During this time the sun had already set low and I tried to take some of her portrait with a backlight. It was a struggle to do a backlight photo during that time as I am limited with the knowledge on taking a good backlight image and without a reflector to fill at least the face. I end up taking the last two photo and no backlight image. In the end I am still satisfied with all the result. And that is all from me today. Sudah agak lama sejak catatan terakhir saya di sini dalam komuniti Black and White. Hari ini saya akan berkongsi satu lagi siri potret hitam putih yang diambil semasa saya masih dalam latihan fotografi. Vanessa adalah model kita untuk hari ini. Dia seorang pramugari yang bekerja di syarikat Air Asia. Tetapi pada masa ini dia menjalankan perniagaannya sendiri. Dia seorang yang sangat happy go lucky. Saya suka ekspresi mukanya apabila dia tersenyum. Dia boleh melakukan banyak ekspresi muka tetapi saya lebih memilih wajahnya yang tersenyum untuk siaran hari ini. Ada juga beberapa fotonya dengan wajah yang serius. Semasa sesi pemotretan ini saya tidak bercadang untuk bertemu dengannya. Saya bertemu dengannya semasa keluar bersama rakan jurugambar di bandar kami. Pemotretan luar sentiasa menjadi cabaran kepada saya. Seperti yang anda boleh lihat data exif dari foto di atas, saya masih bergelut pada tetapan kamera. Nasib baik saya berjaya mendapatkan beberapa potret yang baik dengan tetapan yang digunakan semasa sesi pemotretan luar ini. Gambar yang diambil di dalam bangunan adalah sekitar jam 2 petang hingga 3 petang . Matahari di luar masih sangat kuat dan sukar untuk mengambil gambar semasa pencahayaan yang teruk. Selepas matahari terbenam sedikit kami keluar dan mengambil beberapa gambar berhampiran dengan dinding bangunan. Pada masa ini matahari berada di belakang bangunan dan kami mempunyai teduhan yang lebih bagus dengan pencahayaan yang baik. Selepas saya mengambil beberapa gambar di kawasan itu, kami pergi ke tangga konkrit berhampiran tempat letak kereta bawah tanah. Saya mengambil beberapa gambarnya di tangga bawah sambil berdiri di tepi tangga di atasnya. Saya cuba mengambil gambar seberapa banyak yang saya boleh tetapi angin terus meniup debu dari atas dan ia terus masuk ke mata Vanessa. Akhirnya saya hanya mempunyai beberapa gambar yang bagus tanpa Vanessa menutup matanya. Kawasan terakhir yang kami pergi ialah dataran simen di sekitar bangunan. Pada masa ini matahari sudah terbenam rendah dan saya cuba mengambil beberapa potretnya dengan lampu latar. Ia adalah satu perjuangan untuk melakukan foto lampu latar pada masa itu kerana saya terhad dengan pengetahuan tentang mengambil imej lampu latar yang baik dan tanpa pemantul untuk mengisi sekurang-kurangnya pencahayaan ke mukanya. Saya akhirnya mengambil dua foto terakhir dan tiada imej lampu latar. Akhirnya saya tetap berpuas hati dengan semua hasilnya. Dan itu sahaja daripada saya hari ini.
